Sometimes my plate tips over.

It's been a little quiet around here, at least on this blog. As much as I would love to make blogging my full time job, at this point it isn't. Raising a family of three girls, working 40 hours a week, and trying to keep up with our house and social occasions can feel like a balancing act.

Sometimes my plate tips over.

If there is one thing that I have learned since becoming a mom, it's that we can't do it all. When we add something to our plate, a plate that is already full, we need to take something off.

I'm talking about the mamas who go, go, go all day, trying to provide for their families, be a good mom, volunteer at their kid's school or sports and are trying to have something for themselves on the side... like a blog, craft business, writer.

What I do know is this... I need to start spending a little more time on ME. There really is nothing wrong with personal development and if you are trying to get somewhere that can provide for your family and work with your schedule then I am in that life boat with you!

Seriously, how many of you are trying to start a business? Trying to juggle it all? Trying to work on the best version of yourself while still being present for your family?

So that's where I go when it seems like crickets. I never claim to be a perfect blogger, mother, or troop leader. I believe in balance and sometimes that balance means letting something go for a little bit until everything else is back on track.

Since I am a Christian women who has done a lot of prayer to the man above this past month, I leave you Mamas who are trying to balance it ALL with this..

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for others, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
